More of Walter

My name is Walter Pretorius.
From a young age I have always been active, you could find me either on the Rugby field or athletic track. Once I was introduced to CrossFit I was hooked. I now have more than 10 years experience in the industry.
As founder and co-owner of CrossFit Leo, as well as a Level 2 Certified CrossFit Coach, I have spent the last 7 years investing in building the CrossFit Leo community.
To me it is not just a gym, it is a second home; It is not members, it is family.

More of Hilmar

Hi Guys! My name is Hilmar von Mansberg. Some of you may know me as the guy always smiling and dancing around in the middle of the workouts.
I have always been a ball-sport kind of guy, until I started doing CrossFit back in June 2015. I immediately knew that CrossFit was the career I want to pursue. My goal is to compete in the CrossFit Games and it was one of my biggest achievements to rank 28th in South Africa in the 2019 CrossFit Open.
As Co-Owner of CrossFit Leo, since 2018 and a CrossFit Level 2 Certified Coach, my passion is to inspire people to live healthier lives by being active and enjoy every step of their journey.
To me, CrossFit is more than just a sport. It is a life changing community and a family that everyone can become a part of. It changed my life for the better and I’m sure it will impact other lives too.

More of Mariska

After falling in love with the sport after my first WOD, I’ve now been part of the CrossFit community for almost 5 years and already completed my CrossFit Level 1 in 2018 due to my absolute love for the Sport.
After two years of training I’ve started competing in numerous CrossFit events which increased my confidence and improved my coaching techniques. I’ve always dreamed about participating at Regionals (before the rules changed in 2019), therefore ranking 14th in South Africa in the 2019 CrossFit Open is definitely the achievement I’m most proud of.
I love to host transformation challenges, provide nutritional guidance, do Inbody assessments and challenge you to do better in each session. I am responsible for the Mommy Class (where we almost social as hard as we workout) and love to spend time coaching the Lite entrees.
CrossFit has taught me a lot of things but mainly that it is truly all about the people; engaging, uplifting, supporting and motivating each other.
I have a passion for people and love to see true transformations; whether it is an outer transformation or a change in lifestyle or a change of heart. Nowhere else will you find a community of people that feels more like family than right here with us.

More of Carl

Hi my name is Carl, I have been doing CrossFit since 2016 and every year gets better and better with CrossFit Leo! I studied at ETA college and got my Higher Certificate of Fitness at the end of 2019.
As a coach there is more to the job than teaching proper technique and good form. It is bringing a bunch of people together and creating a fun comfortable fitness family that just enjoys the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle.
